By earning points in-platform, members unlock perks and real-life prizes—discounts at local businesses, exclusive event access, or special giveaways that celebrate their participation and impact.
The beta program is open to all New Yorkers who want to connect their everyday lives to something bigger. You’ll get early access to test the platform, try out challenges, and share feedback that helps us refine the experience for the wider community. As the platform grows, you’ll also gain opportunities to deepen your involvement—earning rewards, influencing programs, and being part of a movement that turns neighbors into collaborators and the city into home.

We searched far and wide for ways to turn every day into an opportunity to support local businesses, communities and initiatives that foster growth and well-being for residents of New York City. 40% Goes Back To The Community
This includes local projects, resources, and initiatives that you get to experience directly. This reinvestment strengthens community resilience and creates impact where it’s needed most.
10% Goes To Charity
This portion is donated directly to local charities that our members help decide on, ensuring support flows to causes that make a difference. It’s one more way Rooted In NYC turns collaboration into real, measurable impact across the city.
50% Goes To Staffing & Operations
This share covers fair wages, professional development, and the tools our staff and contractors need to bring this project to life. It also sustains essential operations so our work can continue year-round.
